Double homicide in Lowell. The crime scene is near our home.....
Police said the gun shot was heard at 1:30am this morning. God....We were still awake then and just went to bed around 4 or 5 am... We heard nothing....
I checked the news and found actually there were many gun shots in Lowell. That's terrible. I used to think Lowell is safe.....

We walked pass the scene at about 3pm to the university and saw the state police cars. I was even joking they were filming the series "criminal minds".. since we just watched the latest episode. I am so sorry for the brothers and the young son that one of the brothers left behind.

这个势头不对啊。希望中国能采取些报复性措施。这可是历史上第一次，美国开了先例，其他国家就可以援引了。

美总统奥巴马宣布对中国轮胎特保案实施限制关税

新华网华盛顿９月１１日电（记者刘丽娜　刘洪）美国总统奥巴马１１日决定，对从中
国进口的所有小轿车和轻型卡车轮胎实施为期三年的惩罚性关税。
　  白宫发言人罗伯特·吉布斯说，对从中国进口轮胎实施的惩罚性关税税率第一年为
３５％，第二年为３０％，第三年为２５％。
　  此前，美国国际贸易委员会建议对中国产轮胎征收为期三年的惩罚性关税，幅度分
别为５５％、４５％和３５％。
    新闻背景：今年4月20日，美国钢铁工人联合会以中国对美轮胎出口扰乱美国市场为
由，向美国国际贸易委员会提出申请，对中国产乘用车轮胎发起特保调查。6月29日，美
国贸易委员会建议在现行进口关税（3.4%-4.0%）的基础上，对中国输美乘用车与轻型卡
车轮胎连续3年分别加征55%、45%和35%的特别从价关税。
    本案是美国奥巴马政府对中国发起的首例特保调查。根据中方统计，2008年中国对
美国轮胎出口金额约22亿美元。此案遭到中美业界的广泛反对。中国商务部官员就此案
多次与美方相关部门进行交涉。此前，美国布什政府曾对中国发起六起特保调查，最终
均未采取特保措施。
    目前，我国轮胎年出口量占总产量的40%以上，如果削减输美轮胎半数产量，就意味
我国会出现12%的剩余轮胎产能。此外，根据WTO规则，如果奥巴马批准了对中国的特保
制裁，相关国家可以直接援引美国的制裁方案
